Storming of the Bastille

On this day in 1789, the Storming of the Bastille was the beginning of the great French revolution, which led to great changes in the country, ended despotic monarchical rule.
Today it is a Grand holiday for the whole of France and very personal for every citizen of it, which symbolizes joy, patriotism, and pride in their country.

All over France and far beyond its borders, music sounds, street actors perform. Performances with the participation of the most famous guests and world stars take place on organized venues and directly on the pavements. An integral part of the holiday is a series of balls, including the firemen's ball and the Grand ball.

France's largest military parade is held on the Champs-Elysees. Traditionally, the parade is hosted by the President of the Republic, among the guests are members of the government, the Senate, and top officials of foreign countries.
The end of the official holiday is a light show-fireworks at the Eiffel tower and on the Champs de Mars to music.

In this difficult year for the whole world, Our friends and partners from the French-Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry are organizing France day online!
Visitors will find French lessons, a bulldog parade, French songs, and much more!
And we congratulate all our friends from Sunny France, CCI, and our resident company Monin on this wonderful, bright holiday!
